Contemporary Spaces

253749760224163290_tJvs8yjc_c

Just some interior spaces and living configurations I really like, so many clever ideas.. I guess out of this set, this kitchen is one of my favorites. I don’t like clutter or random things lying around and this kitchen is wiped clean of any distractions. The built in coffee machine is everything. Incredible…but the sharp [...]

Million miles away…

DSC_0714

Right now I wish I was in Chablis, France! I visited the area when I was staying at La Lucarne aux Chouettes. The lovely owner of the hotel let us borrow her car to drive to Chablis. Caroline (the owner) was probably one of the nicest most hospitable people I’ve ever met, couldn’t believe she [...]

Istanbul

DSC_0699

I finally made it to Istanbul after staying in Paris for only about 1/2 a day..then London for two nights…First time in Istanbul! The first thing I wanted to do after dropping off my stuff at the hotel was go to the market. The cab ride from the hotel to the market was quite long, [...]

Champagne Afternoon Tea, Dorchester Hotel

DSC_0515

Some savory small dishes, before pastries.. A chicken salad-esque mixture warmed up inside lightly toasted puff pastry shell. Salmon pasta shell roll, served with toast, lox and caviar. Delicate assortment of pastries. Everything about afternoon tea here is great, the old-fashioned ambiance, the cheesy piano playing, and the food. But really I would just like [...]

Park Hyatt Paris, Breakfast

DSC_9116

There was nobody here, by 9 this place is packed, even difficult to be seated. Thankfully I was down here by 6:30 am. I love when things are not quite ready and waiters are still hustling to get the tables fixed and the buffet prepared. Quiet whispers between co-workers and what they did …

La Lucarne Aux Chouettes, Villeneuve Sur Yonne, France

DSC_0008

After several days in Paris I hopped on a train to check out this bed & breakfast place I had read about in a magazine. It all sounded so amazing (and affordable might I add? At $99 euro a night and a cheap train ticket from Garde De Lyon this was the perfect mini-vacation) …

Park Hyatt Hotel, Paris

DSC_0276

Starting just a year ago I developed a mild interest in interiors..Though I love beautiful spaces my default design ethos for interiors has always been ‘get-rid-of-everything-you-don’t-need-make-it-look-as-empty-as-possible-put-everything-inside-its-drawer’. That’s not to say my room doesn’t turn into a mess! My interest in food and kitchen tools developed early on but recently my interest in interiors …

Savoy Front

DSC_0061

The small restaurant/cafe/cocktail bar in front of the hotel I was staying in (Hotel Savoy) was my last stop before heading to Venice- it was here that I had post-Luisaviaroma-shopping-regrets…thoughts which were easily washed away after glasses of champagne- that is, until a random fly tried to get in on it. …and this is where [...]

Caviar N' Fries

Late night snacking with some amazing Mojito cocktails at the Park Hyatt Paris. Late night snacks here include an Osetra Caviar and Waffle combo, the waffle is made with potato flakes and flavored with parmesan cheese. Surrounding the waffle is a mixture of creme fraiche, egg whites, egg yolk, salmon eggs, parsley and capers. ….and [...]

Metropole Hotel, Venice

DSC_0315

After leaving the station I got on a water taxi to get to my hotel. I arrived in Venice late at night. Now I don’t know why water taxis in Venice look like limousines. This isn’t a “nice” water taxi or anything, this is just what the water taxis look like in Venice. Don’t …
